Mother Chapter Cinco de Mayo with Pancho and Lefty

May 8, 2019

The Mother Chapter of Ugly Motorcycle Club went on the inaugural "Pancho and Lefty" run to Utah.

Along on the ride was Ugly George, Ugly Feo, Ugly Big John, Ugly Roy, Ugly Rusty and his boys, Ugly Tyler & Dewey.

We're hoping to make this an annual event and expand it to include Brothers from other Chapters.

We met up in the desert town of Mojave on Friday morning. The ride to Death Valley was on all back roads at a fun but safe pace, breaking the speed limit occasionally.

Feo talked us into going through Wildrose canyon to Stovepipe wells. He explained that it is the old Emigrant pass/trail that goes into the Panamint mountains, where there are numerous springs, and a it's rough road.

After turning off and riding a few miles up the steep rough road we found a Road Closed sign, which forced us to do a MUUT. (Mandatory Ugly U-Turn"). Back to the paved highway like tourists.

We made our way through Death Valley and stayed in the metropolis of Tonopah, Nevada. Good BBQ, beer, whiskey, etc.

The next day was the second leg to El Rancho Feo in Cedar City through 'The Extraterrestial Highway", skirting 'Area 51'.

The only thing creepy thing I saw was some Ugly creatures hauling ass all around me. Stopped at the last town in Nevada before the Utah border to stock up on booze so we wouldn't have to deal with the silly booze laws in Utah.

I have a tradition of going to Freedom Bl. in Cedar City to pay respects at the veteran's memorial. They have separate memorials for each war our country has fought. Never forget.

We arrived at El Rancho Feo late afternoon and immediately raised the American flags, fore and aft. It's a tradition we have here.

After unloading the important items from the bikes (The afore mentioned booze), the party was on. Maker's Mark whisky, Patron Tequila, margaritas, beer, and Poker.

Sunday morning, Cinco de Mayo, took us over the mountains (over 10,000 ft elev) through snow covered meadows to Bryce Canyon national park. We continued on Scenic Highway #12 towards Escalante and some of the most beautiful scenery around. The snow closed the road to Cedar Breaks national monument, forcing us to take the same road back, fire up the BBQ, blender, and throw some horseshoes. Another round of booze, cards, and unmitigated BS-ing ended the night at about 2:00 am.

 Frozen Navajo Lake.

 Red Canyon, Bryce

Plenty of hangovers for the early morning ride back to Simi Valley, Shasta, Castaic, Sylmar, and lake Havasu . Everyone made it home safely and with plenty of good memories.
